The 21-year-old former Disney star said she even cries after hearing a heartfelt compliment from her friend, reported Daily Mirror.
"I'm so emotional. I cry all the time. One of my friends told me how proud she was of me and how I've come so far (and that's the last time I cried)," she said.
Lovato also admitted that she suffers from nerves and needed a little advice to calm her down before her Neon Lights tour began earlier this month.
"I get really nervous and insecure when I play guitar or piano on stage. My friend said, 'Don't think about it too much, just play'," she said.
