He burst into the limelight when he was leading after three rounds at the 2015 British Open but Irish golfer Paul Dunne said he has not set any goals this year and would just focus on improving his game.
"I am just trying to improve, this is my first year and I am not used to a lot of experiences and even different places. I have not set any goals as such however, I would like to see the improvement in my game," said Dunne, who finished ninth at the Joburg Open in January.
The amateur turned pro golfer, who will be participating in the 52nd Hero Indian Open golf tournament, said that he would like to keep things simple at the Delhi Golf Course.
"I got here on Monday and had a good look at the course, this is a different course, there will not be a lot of strategies, I will just play my normal game," he said.
He added that he has utilised the break after visiting Australia and he is hopeful to bring all the practice in use during the tournament.
"I am happy that I have been hitting okay, I had a couple of weeks break after Australia so I have been practicing at home," he said.
The 23-year-old golfer explained that playing amateur golf has helped him improve his game.
"I played a lot of amateur golf last year in America and it has helped me in bigger games. Handling things outside the course is another learning experience, I guess it is about getting used to the lifestyle and then on the course golf is the same," the Irish player added.
The 52nd edition of the tournament features the likes of three-time Major Padraig Harrington, defending champion Anirban Lahiri, SSP Chawrasia, Jeev Milkha Singh, Arjun Atwal among others.
