The Indian Air Force has carried out a five-day exercise with its Sri Lankan counterpart to enhance coordination and cooperation, the IAF said today.
The exercise began on July 9 and went on till yesterday.
A transport aircraft of the IAF had ferried a 65-member air force contingent to Sri Lanka for the joint training and exercise, an IAF spokesperson said.
He said the exercise offered an opportunity to both the air forces to observe each others' standard operating procedures as well as exchange ideas on joint operations.
It was a very satisfying joint exercise, he said.
