In a surprise raid conducted in Ading village falling under Goverdhan police station area, five persons, engaged in manufacturing of illicit liquor were arrested, police said.
"50 litres of country-made liquor was obtained from illicit distillation, along with accessories and furnaces," Excise Inspector Sanjai Singh Yadav said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Padam Jatav, Rinku Jatav, Kaptan Bhatu, Ram Singh Bhatu and Bacchu Singh Bhatu, all residents of Ading village.
"Two furnaces used for illicit distillation have been destroyed," he said, adding, the drive against illicit liquor would continue.
