Immigration official at Mumbai airport commits suicide

A 55-year-old Bureau of Immigration official at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport allegedly committed suicide on Monday morning, police said.

NY Abhishay Babu jumped off the airport building and his body was found at a parking lot on level four of the structure, Sahar police station senior inspector Shashikant Mane said.

"He is a junior intelligence officer with the Bureau of Immigration posted at Mumbai international airport. Probe into why he took this step is underway," Mane added.
