He was speaking at a press conference about his recently released film "Pink", which deals with the issue of crime against women and society's reactions.
There have been instances where women misuse the law meant to punish the rapists or the molesters, he said.
"People have said there is no law for men. There have been cases when women are misusing this law. Many friends have said that they have also faced it (such a misuse). It's working in reverse way, but (in) very few cases," he added.
Reacting to yesterday's terrorist attack in Uri, Bachchan said he expected a strong action.
"With the good news about our film "Pink" doing well, I was saddened with the news of soldiers who lost their lives. It's sad that without any provocation or anything our soldiers have lost their lives...I think the government will take strong action," he said.
"It is a very unfortunate incident. It's a sad news. We are delighted that our film "Pink" is getting good response but I am feeling bad for what has happened," he said.
Shoojit said his job as a filmmaker was to show what happens in the society. "My job is to reflect what happens in the society," he said.
