The Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, under the Department of Cultural Affairs, has designed the village of international standards to provide artists from the country and abroad a common platform to live and work together.
State Minister for Culture K C Joseph will inaugurate the village, comprising studios-cum-residential complex at Kakkannanpara in Sreekandapuram, an official release said here today.
A number of dignitaries, comprising those with art, culture and political background including well-known artist and Academy chairman Kattoor Narayanapillai and vice chairman Chitra Krishnankutty, are expected to participate in the event, it said.
Residential complexes, exhibition galleries, library and conference hall are among other facilities offered in the village.
