India is committed to expanding its development partnership with Egypt, Indian Ambassador Sanjay Bhattacharyya has said as he inaugurated an IT training institute here.
Bhattacharyya said the opening of the Aptech Centre for Training and Education in Cairo yesterday was a testimony to the growing economic partnership between India and Egypt.
The opening ceremony was jointly hosted by Aptech India Limited and Taalem Company, owners of Nahda University Beni Sueif.
The Indian envoy said that there were significant developments in the field of IT in India, which had provided the youth with new opportunities for skills and jobs in a globalised world.
Such skills provided for an empowered and aspirational population that was responsive to the needs of society.
The ambassador also expressed confidence that the Centre, which would teach 2,000 students the requisite computer knowledge and communication skills annually, would leverage their market potential.
"India is committed to expanding its development partnership with Egypt," he added.
The Aptech Centre, located in New Maadi, will teach Website Designing, HTML5 and C Programming, Net and Java Programming, Android Developer and many related courses to students in Egypt.
Combined with the facilities at Nahda University, Aptech now has the capacity to train 3,000 students annually, soon to be increased to 5,000 students per year.
