Indian eves lose 1-4 against the men's team of Dutch club GCHC

The Indian women's hockey team lost 1-4 against the men's team of Dutch side Groningsche Cricket en Hockey Club (GCHC) in their preparatory tour ahead of FIH World League Round 2 here.
Led by captain Ritu Rani, the Indian eves started off brightly but it was the Dutch side which opened the scoring in the eighth minute through a field goal.
The club side from Holland doubled their lead in the 21st minute, again through a field goal.
In the 28th minute, Yendala Soundarya brought one back for India from a baseline pass off Navjot Kaur.
But GCHC again scored in the 36th and 64th minute, both field goals to take a 4-1, which remained intact till the final hooter.
Indian eves next game will be played against Dutch hockey club Haagsche Delftsche Mixed Hockey Club (HDM) tomorrow. The matches are in preparation for the FIH World League Round 2 to be held in New Delhi from March 7 to 15.
