Indian firms bag awards at global packaging awards ceremony

Nearly a dozen Indian companies from diverse sectors bagged honours in the field of packaging at an international awards ceremony held in Hungary.
Domestic companies outshone their global peers at the recently concluded 'WorldStar Awards 2016' show in Budapest, a release from the Indian Institute of Packaging said today.
WorldStar Awards are the most prestigious globally recognised honours in the field of packaging. The winners were felicitated by Thomas Schneider, President, World Packaging Organisation (WPO), said the statement.
Indian companies, including Zydus Cadila Healthcare, GSK GlaxoSmithKline, Suprabha Industries and Ecobliss India bagged awards this year, it said.

HCC achieves tunnel boring on crucial Delhi Metro III proj * Infrastructure major Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said it has achieved a major breakthrough by day-lighting the tunnel on Dwarka-Najafgarh metro corridor.
The 665-meter tunnel is part of the ambitious phase III of Delhi Metro.
NSE Academy,IGNOU join hands for courses via distance learning * NSE Academy today said that it has signed a pact with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to offer certificate and diploma courses through distance learning mode.
"NSE and IGNOU have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to offer certification programs -- Certificate Program on Derivatives and Option Trading Strategies, Certificate Program on Securities Market Analysis and Certificate Program on Financial Modelling and Algorithm Trading," NSE Academy said in a statement.
Some of these programmes are expected to be launched from the July session of 2017.
NSE Academy and School of Management Studies, IGNOU will jointly develop content for these three certification programs and subsequently for diploma programs, it added.
