Indian-origin Singapore soldier found dead

A 49-year-old Indian-origin soldier in Singapore has died after he was found unconscious under mysterious circumstances, prompting a police probe into the incident.
Jude Sebastian Vincent, Master Warrant Officer of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) was found unconscious at Stagmont Camp yesterday, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said in a statement.
Vincent was given first-aid and shifted to a nearby hospital where he pronounced dead.
"The SAF Medical Officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route to the hospital. Vincent was pronounced dead at 11.54am," the statement said.
A police investigation will be conducted into his death, the SAF said.
