"World football will soon witness the prominent presence of Indian players and this is evident from the zest and enthusiasm of the youth towards the game of football," said Rene Meulensteen, Head Coach of Kerala Blasters.
Speaking to reporters after discussions on the coming ISL, he said leagues like ISL had already found ground globally.
"Indian footballers have already upped their skills and talent with the huge exposure on international techniques these tournaments have given them with playing with International players," he said.
CEO of Kerala Blasters Varun Tripuraneni, who was present with Technical Director Tangboi Singto, said the team had been able to get some good players for this season.
Moreover, the return of Iain Hume to the team along with presence of star players C K Vineeth and Sandesh Jhingan has added a lot of excitement among fans, he said.
Rene Meulensteen has spent stints in various coaching capacities at Manchester United under the reign of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
He was team coach at United from 2007 onward, playing an integral role in the 'Red Devils' winning three premier league titles and a Champions League title in 2008.
After his stint at United, he had short spells at Anzhi Makhachkala, Fulham and Maccabi Haifa, a release said here.
