Infant dies after bucket of hot water falls on him

A one-and-a-half-year-old boy died after a bucket of hot water fell on him when he was playing at his home in northeast Delhi's Welcome area, the police said today.
The incident occurred four days back and the child was admitted to GTB Hospital with severe burn injuries where he succumbed today.
The boy's mother had kept hot water in a bucket. The child, who was playing nearby, crawled to the bucket, and somehow it toppled over, injuring him, they added.
The family requested the police to not carry out a post-mortem and the body was handed over to them.
