Infiltration bid foiled near LoC, 1 militant killed
"One militant has been killed during an infiltration bid. It was foiled by alert soldiers in Naugam sector in Kupwara district," an army official said.
He said the operation continued till reports last came in.
This is the second infiltration bid foiled by the army this month.
One militant was killed on August 1 as the army foiled an infiltration bid near the Line of Control in Naugam sector of Kashmir.
Earlier, four militants were killed and one was apprehended in an anti-infiltration operation on July 26, followed by another operation on July 30, in which two militants and two soldiers were killed.
