The stock gained 3.13 per cent to settle at Rs 1,167.85 on BSE. During the day, it rose 3.54 per cent to Rs 1,172.60.
On NSE, shares of the company went up 3.11 per cent to Rs 1,167.40 at close.
Following the surge in the stock, the company's market valuation climbed Rs 8,131.68 crore to Rs 2,68,248.68 crore.
In terms of volume, 3.64 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over 58 lakh shares were traded at NSE during the day.
In the stock market, the BSE Sensex rose by 233.70 points to end at 27,079.51.
