Most of the IOA delegates will leave for Lausanne tonight for the May 15 meeting which is expected to start the process of getting the ban on India lifted.
Though IOA Acting President V K Malhotra and IOC Member in India, Randhir Singh, have decided to boycott the meeting, IOA delegates are hopeful that they will be able to present a watertight case to get the ban lifted.
The meeting will also be attended by Sports Minister Jitendra Singh, Sports Secretary P K Deb, Beijing Olympics gold-medallist shooter Abhinav Bindra and Olympian sailor Malav Shroff.
