"Stressing consensus on strengthening relationship, Leader of Opposition Isaac Herzog calls on Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Gopal Baglay said in a tweet.
Herzog, the chairman of the Labour Party, is the son of General Chaim Herzog, who served two terms as the sixth President of Israel from 1983 to 1993.
Prime Minister Modi held talks with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on the second day of his landmark Israel visit, the first by an Indian premier.
Earlier today, Modi called on Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and how Israel's cutting-edge technology could help the 'Make in India' initiative.
