In her complaint, the victim said she was waiting for a cab last night when another taxi offered her a lift. She found that there were six persons in the vehicle and two of them sexually assaulted her, police said.
Medical examination of the victim has been conducted and the report has been sent to Mandi for expert opinion.
A case under section 376 (rape) of IPC has been registered and investigations are underway.
Since the victim is not familiar with the place, she did not have much idea about the vehicle and the accused but the police is hopeful of nabbing the culprits as CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire area, police said, adding that the CCTV footage is being scanned.
