"The issue of refugees is under our consideration and we have raised it with the central government also," Abdullah said on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of Sant Manjit Singh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at Jeevan Nagar, about 15 km from here.
"I hope the help which we are looking forward to from the Centre, with regard to the one-time settlement of refugees, will be provided," he said.
Meanwhile, Abdullah also assured that Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections, which have not been conducted since last few years in the state, will be held soon.
"A decision in this regard will soon be made by the Law and Parliamentary Affairs minister and you will be given the permission to hold the elections here," he said.
