Mahendra Singh, a resident of Jhunjhunu, who did not disclose any information about the huge cash amount and its owner, was being interrogated, he told PTI.
The accused was on way to board a car after alighting from a bus when the sleuths frisked him in view of election surveillance, the official said, adding a case under Section 132 of IT Act (search and seizure) has been registered.
In another checking drive, a police team recovered 2,064 pouches of illegal liquor from a supplier Pooran Sansi at Sanganer area here. A case has been registered against him in this regard, the official said.
