Shiva Krishna Tripuraneni, the accused, was arrested after the woman complained that she had received phone calls and SMSes from strangers who sought to befriend her.
She found out that her mobile number had been provided with a fake Facebook profile.
Shiva Krishna, according to police, accessed information about the woman from the database of a portal, with which several job aspirants had registered.
"Shiva Krishna found the complainant's mobile number and sent text messages to her. When she did not reply, he felt offended and created her fake Facebook profile and posted her number, even chatted online impersonating her," according to a police release here.
