Congress youth outfit IYC took out a protest march and burnt the copies of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill at India Gate, a few hours before it was passed in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
"This Bill is an attack on the Indian Constitution and through this illegal legislation the BJP is attempting to destroy the secular fabric of our country," said IYC president Srinivas BV.
Raising slogans against the Bill, the Indian Youth Congress activists marched from Raisina Road to the India Gate and burnt the copies of the Bill, said IYC media incharge Amrish Ranjan Pandey.
