J-K: Guv expresses grave concern over lynching of police

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today expressed grave concern over the lynching of a senior police officer outside the Jama Masjid in downtown Srinagar.
"Early today morning, on learning about the gruesome killing of Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ayoub Pandith, the Governor spoke with Director General of Police S P Vaid and conveyed his sincere sympathy to the family of the slain officer," an official spokesman said.
He said the Governor expressed grave concern over the continuing attacks on personnel of the J-K Police.
The Governor is convening an emergency meeting with the chief minister, the spokesman said.
