J-K transfers five officers

In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government today transferred five officers of various departments.
The transfers and postings were approved by the state cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here last evening, an official spokesman said.
Farooq Ahmed Khan, Director Social Welfare, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Director Panchayat Raj, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj against an available vacancy.
Nisar Hussain Wani, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, has been transferred and posted as Director Social Welfare, Kashmir, the spokesman said.
Madan Mohan Gupta, Joint Development Commissioner, Public Works Department, has been transferred and posted as Chief Engineer, PMGSY, Jammu.
Bimal Tickoo, Chief Engineer, Mughal Road Project has been transferred and posted as Chief Engineer, PMGSY, Kashmir.
Sheikh Abdul Hamid, Chief engineer, PMGSY, Jammu has been transferred and posted as Chief Engineer, Roads and Buildings, Jammu.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the creation of five posts of Lectures in Government Higher Secondary School Padum, Zanskar.
The Cabinet approved the promotion of P G Dhar Chakraborty (IAS) to the fixed scale of IAS (Rs 80,000).
Atal Dulloo (IAS) and Umang Narulla (IAS) were promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade (Rs 67000-79000) of IAS with immediate effect.
