Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson said that the Army's 102 Engineer Regiment will conduct a vocational training programme for 30 unemployed youth from September 17 to October 13 on an excavator loader inside a camp.
The spokesperson said the Army has been planning and executing the vocational programme as a part of 'Sadhbhavna' (operation goodwill).
The aim of the training is to channelise resourceful energy of the youth in a constructive manner and make them qualified to be self reliant, he said.
The spokesperson said the training syllabus includes introduction to the plant equipment, tools, assemblies, attachments, various systems in the excavator loader, operation and use, repair and maintenance and safety precautions.
At the end of the course, each individual would be given a qualifying certificate which would help them in future course of employment, he added.
