Jagdish Upasane takes charge as VC of journalism university

Senior journalist Jagdish Upasane today took charge as the Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Evam Sanchar Vishwavidyalaya.

The appointment was made by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in his capacity as chairman of the general council of the university, an official release said.

The outgoing VC, Professor Brij Kishore Kuthiala, handed over the charge to Upasane.

Upasane will have a tenure of four years, it said.
