Jaipur jail's deputy superintendent booked

An FIR has been registered against the superintendent of Jaipur Central Jail here for allegedly beating an accused leading to his death in judicial custody.
The First Information Report was registered by the wife of the man who died in the custody.
She alleged that her husband Ajay Sansi, who was arrested under excise act and was under judicial custody since November 13, was beaten by officer Shankar Singh, police said today.
Sansi, after being allegedly beaten by Singh, was admitted to SMS hospital and died on November 17.
The woman lodged the FIR through a court Istgasa (complaint) yesterday, SHO Lalkothi police station Ishwar Singh said.
The FIR was registered under relevant sections including 302 (murder) of IPC and SC/ST act.
