Officials in New York City have signed off on plans to name a street after music legend James Brown.
A road in Harlem close to the iconic Apollo Theater is to be renamed James Brown Way in honour of the late star, reported the New York Daily News.
The new sign on 126th Street will be unveiled at a ceremony on November 22, which will be attended by a number of Brown's relatives, including his daughter Deanna Brown Thomas.
Activist Reverend Al Sharpton will speak at the unveiling event.
Brown died in 2006 at the age of 73. He had close ties to the Apollo Theater after performing there many times throughout his career, and a live album recorded at the fabled venue became a huge success in 1963.
