The two-member Commission led by former chief justice of J&K and the Rajasthan high courts S N Jha had on June 17 issued public notice inviting complaints within 30 days from the general public.
The commission will now receive complaints till July 31, said Sanjiv Kumar, Secretary to the Commission.
The Commission has former IPS officer NC Padhi as its member.
On Tuesday, Jha had told a press conference here the Commission had received only one CD in the name of complaint till then despite loss of lives and vandalism in several districts during the agitation.
The Commission has been asked to submit its report within six months from the date of its first sitting.
The Commission will look into circumstances relating to occurrence of violence leading to loss of lives and damage to properties and alleged violation of human rights from February 18 to 23 in Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Jind, Hisar, Kaithal and Bhiwani districts.
It will also probe if there was any conspiracy to damage the social fabric.
