The protesters, under the banner of All India Jat Arakshan Sanghrash Samiti, marched from Krantimal Park to the Mini Secretariat and submitted a memorandum to the district administration for sending the same to the central and state governments.
Samiti's national president Yashpal Malik alleged that despite assurance, the government had not withdrawn cases registered against some of them.
Talking to reporters, Malik said that "so far the state government has not made Jat reservation operational by seeking its constitutional status from the Centre".
Samiti's spokesperson Ram Bhagat Malik said if the state did not accept their demands before February 15, they would re-launch their agitation and "the government would be responsible for it".
