Jaya sanctions fund to a student for medical education

AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today bore the education expenses of a medical aspirant who had appealed for aid.
The Chief Minister sanctioned a sum of Rs 50,000 towards the girl's first year tuition fee and hostel fee among others, a party release said.
Earlier, the girl Brindadevi, hailing from Tiruchirappally district, had appealed to Jayalalithaa for financial aid to pursue MBBS course citing her humble family background, the release said.
Jayalalithaa sanctioned Rs 50,000 from the 'Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Best Charitable Trust," it added.
