The incident took place in Jagran area when the jeep, carrying 22 people, skidded off the narrow Neelum Valley road, according to police and rescue officials.
Eighteen people died in the incident whereas four others were critically injured, they said.
Police and rescue personnel retrieved bodies from the damaged vehicle with the help from the local residents and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals, they said.
Authorities said that the accident took place as the driver lost control over the vehicle due to heavy rain and snowfall.
In a similar incident, 11 people were killed yesterday in a collision between a bus and a truck in Pakistan's Baluchistan province.
