I have chosen to step away from my role as ambassador and I am excited for the year to come, with many new projects and lots of new music," " Hudson said in a statement.
Hudson welcomed son David in 2009 and hooked up with Weight Watchers the following year-and never looked back. The American Idol castoff turned Oscar winner ultimately shed 80 pounds and became quite the red-carpet standout, having gone from a size 16 to a 6.
