Under the arrangement, Jet would place its marketing code on Garuda Indonesia's flights between Singapore and Jakarta and Garuda would put Jet's marketing code on operations between Singapore and Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, a Jet spokesperson said here today.
The two major carriers also launched a reciprocal frequent flyer programme with regular customers of either earning and redeeming miles while travelling on both carriers on their respective route network.
"With the seamless connections offered by this arrangement, we are confident that this codeshare will see a further increase in demand for business and leisure travel between India and Indonesia," Jet's Senior Vice President (Commercial) Gaurang Shetty said.
