Jharkhand number one in health reforms: State Govt

In the NITI Ayogs Health Index report, Jharkhand has got the number one rank in health reforms, an official release said here today.
Compared to 2014-15, it is 6.87 per cent more work done in 2015-16, it said.
The health index report was released in New Delhi by the NITI Ayogs CEO Amitabh Kant, Priti Sudan, Union Health Secretary and World Banks India Country Head Junaid Ahmed.
Kerala has topped among large states on overall health performance in NITI Aayog's Health Index, while Uttar Pradesh appears at the bottom though it has shown big improvement in the recent past.
Releasing the report, Kant said that "Jharkhand is doing well in health services", the release said.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said the state is committed to give better health services to 3.5 crore people of Jharkhand.
The report reflects the states efforts in the health services, Das said, adding the state was making efforts to make Prime Minister Narendra Modis dream "Swastha Bharat, Swastha Jharkhand" fulfilled.
The chief minister said the state is continuously working in the field of health, adding in the last three years the state government has taken several effective yojanas and implemented them, which bettered the health services.
