Jilted lover shoots girl's fiance in UP

A 25-year-old youth was shot dead allegedly by his fiance's jilted lover at Aterna village here, police said today.
The victim, Vinod, yesterday was shot dead under Budhana police station by the accused, who was upset over his impending marriage with the girl, SHO Anand Mishra said.
The accused also threatened Vinod to call off the marriage and was murdered after he did not budge to do so, he said.
A case has been registered against the absconding youth, he said, adding the investigation is underway.
In a separate incident, a 24-year-old youth was shot dead allegedly by unidentified miscreants at Khoja Nagla village under Chapar police station here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when the victim, identified as Shadab Hasan, was returning home from a religious place, he said.
Old enmity is stated to be the reason behind the murder, he said, adding a case has been registered and the matter is under investigation.
