The main function shall be held at party headquarters in Jammu, besides a function in Srinagar to be organised by party's Kashmir Valley council, JKNPP president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia said.
Recalling him as a great nationalist and secular ruler, Mankotia said Maharaja Hari Singh, after assuming crown in 1925, had declared that his religion was justice.
During a round-table conference, the Maharaja had told the British Emperor that "I am Indian first and then a Maharaja", Mankotia said.
It was Maharaja who introduced Praja Sabha in 1933 and enacted democratic Constitution in 1939, he said. PT AB AGL
