JMM today announced it would field candidates in West Bengal, Odisha, Assam and Bihar in the Lok Sabha elections in addition to four seats in Jharkhand.
The four Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand are Giridih, Raj Mahal, Dumka and Jamshedpur, JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya told PTI here.
As per an agreement with Congress in July last year, JMM will contest from four seats leaving the remaining 10 seats in Jharkhand to alliance partners in the Hemant Soren government.
"The Executive Committee of the party decided to field candidates in five states. While the four seats in Jharkhand have been decided, tomorrow we will announce the number of seats to be contested in the other four states," Bhattacharya said.
