Directed by Kimberly Peirce, the movie is based on Stephen King's chilling novel about a submissive Maine teenager who must deal with her rude schoolmates, her deeply religious mother, and her growing knowledge that she possesses the power of telekenesis, reported Contactmusic.
Chloe Grace Moretz will play the titular character, which was originally played by Sissy Spacek.
The original was previously filmed by Brian DePalma, which was later converted into a short-lived Broadway musical and after its makeover, it was recently presented at Off-Broadway's MCC Theatre for a two-month run.
