"The report of Justice (Retd) Gandhi is a mirage which was prompted by the Chief Minister to accommodate his Minister," JKNPP Chief Patron Bhim Singh said, hinting at Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo, who was re-inducted into the state cabinet after his exoneration in the riots case by the Commission.
Singh said the interim report was totally invalid as it had neither been properly signed by Justice (Retd) Gandhi nor was it presented before the Cabinet.
Stating that the riots case would be heard by the Supreme Court on January 7, 2014, Singh asked the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take appropriate cognisance in the matter and dismiss Omar Abdullah for playing fraud with the rule of law.
Justice (Retd) Gandhi, probing the riots, had exonerated Kitchloo and blamed police and the local administration for mismanagement during the August 9 riots which left 3 dead and dozens injured.
Bhim Singh also accused BJP for playing double standards on the Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and said BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi had called for a debate on the issue with no intention of abrogation of the Article.
BJP is more confused on Article 370 than the Congress and both have been exploiting the people on the issue, he said.
Singh said his party would get the support of 300 MPs to amend the Article so that Parliament would empowered to legislate on Central issues with regards to Jammu and Kashmir.
Claiming that JKNPP was only voice of the depressed and suppressed people, he asked youth to support the party.
