Kajriwal meets injured marshal, assures him all help

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met and assured medical facility and other help required by Home Guard personnel Rajbir Singh, who was posted as marshal in a DTC bus and attacked with a blade by an man for asking him to vacate a seat reserved for women.
Kejriwal met Singh at the Delhi Secretariat also praised him for his act.
During the meeting, Singh narrated the whole incident to the Chief Minister in presence of Transport minister Gopal Rai.
"We are proud of you (Rajbir). I wanted to meet you in person. I want to know what help do you need from us?" the Chief Minister told Singh.

Kejriwal also assured his of medical facility and other help required to him.
According to government, Chief Minister also immediately asked the Health minister to arrange for free treatment of Singh and get the expenses reimbursed whatever he has already incurred for treatment.

"Any help you (Singh) require you can tell us, we will be happy to do whatever possible," Kejriwal told Singh.
The Chief Minister also said the government and the DTC would formulate measures for the welfare of the marshals.
He further instructed the DTC Chairman to look into what other measures could be taken for the welfare of the home guards deployed on the buses.

Transport Minister Gopal Rai told the officials, in such cases, Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) should reach the spot of incidents immediately for the help and other measures required to be taken.
Rajbir Singh, a marshal in a DTC bus, was attacked with a blade by an unidentified man after he was asked to vacate a seat reserved for women in Malviya Nagar area of South Delhi, when several women passengers were standing.
