BJP leader Kalyan Singh today said that UP government's decision of dropping case against an alleged HuJI operative, accused of being involved in serial blasts in Gorakhpur, is a "blatant example of Muslim appeasement".
The former chief minister also claimed that "UP government might release more terrorists lodged in jails."
"This government is not going to release just Tariq Kasim but also all the other terrorists lodged in jails," Singh told reporters here.
Withdrawal of case against Kasmi is aimed at pleasing Muslims, Singh said, adding that it was betrayal with the people of the state and law and order.
"Those, who should be behind the bars, are being glorified by this government," he said.
To a question on state minister Shiv Kumar Beria's undignified comment on officials, he said that it was not the case of just one minister.
"The entire government is working with this viewpoint. They have no regards for officials and are demoralising them. To cover up their shortcomings they are putting all the blame on officials," the former UP chief minister said.
On question regarding Chinese incursion into Indian territory, Singh alleged the UPA government is not capable of providing security in the country and on borders.
"It is not in the capacity of this government to provide internal or external security...It lacks will and can do nothing," he said.
