The 30-year-old actress plays a Gujarati girl named Praful Patel, also known as Simran, in the film directed by Hansal Mehta.
The National Award-winning director took to Twitter to share the teaser of the movie.
"It's Monday and she will give you many reasons to smile. Here is the #Simran teaser. #SmileWithSimran #Simran," wrote Mehta.
Kangana plays a character, who lives in America.
The "Aligarh" director also shared the first look of the film, "Here we are - The First poster of #Simran... With #KanganaRanaut as Praful Patel aka Simran."
