Balaji Motion Pictures has acquired the rights for the romantic thriller, which is based on author Keigo Higashino's book. 'Kahaani' director Sujoy Ghosh will helm the project.
Kangana, who plays the protagonist in the thriller, is set to start shooting for the film this year.
"'Devotion of Suspect X' is one of the best books and scripts that I have read, I look forward to this new journey with Sujoy and Balaji," the 27-year-old actress said in a statement.
