Kapur, Chiragh and Chikka in top-10 at Taipei

Three Indians -- Shiv Kapur, Chiragh Kumar and S Chikkarangappa -- moved into the top-10 after creditable performances in the second round in the Yeangder Heritage golf tournament here today.
Kapur (70), Chiragh (68) and Chikkarangappa (72) were all tied for eighth at three-under 141 and three shots behind the leading trio of Korean Yikeun Chang (72-66) and the Thai duo of Natipong Srithong (71-67) and Danthai Boonma (69-69).
The leaders were six-under-par 138 at the USD 300,000 Asian Tour event.
Meanwhile, four other Indians made the halfway cut and none were more prominent than Himmat Rai, who overcame his first round 76 with a 67 and Sujjan Singh, who rebounded from a 79 with a 68 in second.

Himmat at one-under was tied-18th, while Khalin Joshi (74) and Rahil Gangjee (71) were tied-45th and Sujjan was tied-65 on the cut line.
Shubhankar Sharma (76-73), Rashid Khan (75-76), Arjun Prasad (79-72) and Honey Baisoya (82-72) missed the cut.

Kapur with five birdies and three bogeys liked the way he was hitting.
"Given the conditions it (the score) was pretty good. I think I played a little better then what my score would suggest. I left a couple of shots out there, which is a bit disappointing. Tee to green I was solid and I gave myself some chances," he said.

"It is always tough to putt in the wind especially the shorter putts. To trust yourself to putt in the wind is a bit of a challenge. It is tough to make putts here but if the conditions become a little calmer you can see a lot of low scores. I like the conditions to stay tough because of the way I'm hitting the ball. Whatever the conditions you have to go out and play good golf."
Chikka had three birdies and four bogeys, while Chiragh, who opened birdie-birdie had seven in all against three bogeys. Himmat had six birdies and just one bogey.

A total of 65 players will make the weekend rounds as the cut was set at three-over-par 147.
