Singh, the son of the last king of Kashmir - Hari Singh, met Vohra at Raj Bhavan here and they discussed issues relating to the prevailing unrest and the steps which were required to be taken for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the state, an official statement said.
The Rajya Sabha member, who arrived here yesterday, said the situation in the Valley had pained him and he had come to share the pain of the people.
Kashmir is the boil since July 9, a day after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
Seventy people have been killed and thousands injured in the widespread clashes between the protesters and law enforcing agencies. Normal life has also been paralysed.
Meanwhile, Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Civil Defence Archana Ramasundram also met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the SSB's deployment and internal security duties in the Valley.
