Karimnagar Superintendent of Police V Shivakumar told reporters today that to monitor criminal cases pending before various courts in the district and get convictions, police officers from the sub-inspector level to the Superintendant of Police level, would review cases by reaching courts every Wednesday.
He said that officers would prompt, guide and prepare prosecution witnesses to depose well in the courts. To enable this, a special cell geared towards getting convictions would be constituted soon, he said.
Special staff would be deployed to intensify service of summons and execution of warrants, he said.
He said that 4,600 cases were disposed off until now, out of which, convictions in 12,000 cases secured. He assured speedy disposal of criminal cases.
