The youths, who identified themselves as Gulzar and Mustak, were selling warm clothes to a shopkeeper when they were picked up by Izzatnagar police yesterday and were questioned, SP city Sameer said today.
Identity cards recovered from them were being verified from the Jammu and Kashmir government, he said, adding that the youths have been set free but an eye will be kept on them.
The youths said that they come here every year from October to January to sell clothes.
Following the Pathankot terror attack, an alert had been sounded at the Trishul air base here.
