KCCB pays 30-day Diwali bonus to staff: Chairman

Kangra Central Co-operative Bank (KCCB) of Himachal has said it will pay one-month salary as Diwali bonus to its staff.
KCCB chairman Jagdish Sipahia told reporters here that the bank has "released one-month salary as bonus to its employees, despite the losses the bank has suffered due to demonetisation".
He said this bonus shall be paid on October 1 so that the employees can utilise the money during the Diwali festival.
Sipahiya also informed that the KCCB management has also promoted its "all water carrier employees from part-timers to daily wageras a gift of Diwali. All 216 daily wagers shall now be entitled for double the pay from 1st of next month".
He said most branches of KCCB shall be paid ex-gratia money as an incentive to work hard during the past year.
Sipahia further informed that KCCB has been awarded for maintaining its data centre as per modern requirements by 'Frontiers in Cooperative Banking Awards' and the National Cooperative BankingSummit 2017, recently.
The event was held for the 11th year in a row and Jaipur was the venue, where around 600delegates attendedthe summit, whichincluded thechairmen, directors, CEOs and other functional heads of leading cooperative banks of the country.
