Keith Urban performs Weinstein-inspired song 'Female' at CMAs

Keith Urban performed his new song "Female" at the 2017 Country Music Awards (CMAs), an empowerment anthem, partially inspired by the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal.
The 50-year-old country singer's performance was his tribute to the women around the world who have been subjected to any form of abuse, in wake of the controversy surrounding the disgraced media mogul.
Some of the lyrics of the track go, "When somebody laughs and implies that she asked for it... Just cause she was wearing a skirt... Now is that how it works?"
Earlier, Urban said how the telling revelations affected him as a husband and a father of two young girls.

"(The song) just speaks to all of the females in my life, particularly. For a guy who grew up with no sisters in a house of boys, it's incredible how now I'm surrounded by girls.
"But not only in my house; I employ a huge amount of women in my team. The song just hit me for so many reasons," he told Billboard.
Urban also won the CMA for Single of the Year for his song "Blue Ain't Your Color".
